Words Of Wisdom of the Day: Neil DeGrasse Tyson responds to the question “What is the most astounding fact you can share with us about the Universe?”
Money: “When I look up at the night sky, and I know that, yes, we are part of this Universe, we are in this Universe, but perhaps more important than both of those facts is that the Universe is in us. When I reflect on that fact, I look up — many people feel small, ‘cause they’re small and the Universe is big, but I feel big, because my atoms came from those stars.”
Music: “To Build a Home” by The Cinematic Orchestra.
THIS IS WHY SCIENCE IS SUPERIOR TO RELIGION. We are made of star stuff.
Not “God’s” moons, you see. Jupiter’s.
I love the universe.
Harry Potter Synopsis of the Day: Want to get clued in to this “Harry Potter” craze all your friends are talking about, but only have a minute to spare? This 60-second summary of all the Harry Potter movies should do the trick. And by “do the trick” I mean confuse you even further.

“Goldfish Salvation” Riusuke Fukahori
ICN gallery proudly presents Goldfish Salvation by artist Riusuke Fukahori from 1 Dec 2011 - 11 Jan 2012.
Artist Riusuke Fukahori’s London debut exhibition “Goldfish Salvation” transforms ICN gallery into the world of goldfish. When struggling with artistic vision, Fukahori’s pet goldfish became his inspiration and ever since his passion and lifelong theme. His unique style of painting uses acrylic on clear resin which is poured into containers, resulting in a three-dimensional appearance and lifelike vitality.
This video gives you a glimpse of his amazing painting process.

Christmas Miracle of the Day: 59-year-old Brenda Hewlett, who has never so much as held a hockey stick, makes a 114-foot, once-in-a-million-lifetimes puck shot during halftime at an Akwesasne Warriors game to win a brand new 2012 Ford F-150 from Frenchie’s Ford in Massena, NY.
According to the dealership’s Internet Manager Clayton Plourde, Ms. Hewlett arrived at Frenchie’s last Friday for some service work on her beat up truck, and remarked how she wished she could afford a new one.
Service manager Joe Jock joking suggested she fill out a ballot and try winning one in the rink.
Guess the joke’s on Joe Jock.
Holy fucking shit.
Also, “in-da-baa… in da, in da hole.” Classic.
Street Art of the Day: It took 16 long days and over 500 cans of spray paint, but the Montreal-based artist-run collective A’Shop finally completed its massive Art Nouveau-inspired mural of “a modern-day Our Lady of Grace.”
“Our city has way too much gray,” said Fluke, one of the five artists who worked on this project. “So I hope this [mural] kickstarts a mural campaign.”
Watch the mural go from soup to nuts below:
This is just indescribably beautiful.
THIS MAKES ME WANT A LIZARD SO MUCH RIGHT NOW.
Everybody Needs A Hobby of the Day: “Hero”: Miguel Endara draws his dad’s face on a scanner using nothing but dots — 3.2 million of them, to be exact.
This is simply not fair.

A friend competed against him in China a few years ago and came back raving about his turns. Now the whole world knows!
